Lois Ann Carver, 80, of Roanoke Rapids died Wednesday, July 17, 2013.

Lois, a native of Roanoke Rapids, was the daughter of the late Alonzo Bascom and Lula Kidd Carver. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Allen Page Carver.

Lois was a life-long member of Rosemary Baptist Church and was retired from Sprint after 42 years of service.

Lois is survived by her sister, Cecelia Carver, of Roanoke Rapids; her brothers, Ralph Carver and his wife, Willa, of Roanoke Rapids, and Carl Dane Carver and his wife, Jackie, of Chesapeake, Va.; her aunt, Ruby Carver, of Roanoke Rapids; her three nieces, Elizabeth C. Daniel and her husband, Charley, of Roanoke Rapids, Julie C. Hutchins and her husband, Paul, and Michelle C. Garrett and her husband, Paul, all of Chesapeake, Va.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Askew Funeral and Cremation Services chapel with Rev. Randy Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
